Jose Cleofas Acevedo

Jose Cleofas Acevedo, 70, passed away in his home September 3, 2020. He was born July 25, 1950 in Suchil Durango, Mexico to Picdad and Refugio Acevedo. In December of 1979, he married Angela Acevedo in Waco, Texas, and they shared 40 years together. A self-employed, hard-working farmer, Jose enjoyed working the land. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Jose will be remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family.

Jose is survived by his wife Angela Acevedo and his sons Esteban Acevedo, Justin Acevedo and Ruven Acevedo. He is preceded in death by his parents Picdad and Refugio Acevedo and his grandson Andy Acevedo.

Visitation will be held in the family home from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, and the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 7 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Dawson County Cemetery.
