John Ibarra, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on January 15, 1986, in Levelland, Texas, John lived a life marked by hard work, caring gestures, and unwavering dedication to his family. As a skilled tile setter, he took immense pride in his work, displaying a craftsmanship that mirrored his character—meticulous and devoted.

John was a high school graduate who possessed not only the skills necessary for his trade but also a vibrant personality that made those around him feel cherished. Known for his humor, he had a unique ability to bring laughter to every gathering, making family time particularly special. He loved hanging out with his loved ones, sharing cookouts, listening to music, and dancing, creating memories that will be held close by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Joana; his son, John Ibarra, Jr.; and his daughter, Andrea Ibarra. John's proudest accomplishments were his roles as a father and a grandfather, which defined him and brought him unmatched joy. His family will forever remember him for his giving nature and for the love he instilled in their lives.

A visitation in honor of John Ibarra will be held on February 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, located at 407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415. A rosary will take place that same day at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service starting at 2:00 PM.
