Joe Louise Vara

Joe Vara, 41, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2020. He was born January 6, 1979 in Lubbock, Texas to Sandy DeLeon and Joe Vara. Joe and his wife Maria married May 2, 2020. Joe attended Hamilton High School and worked at Pfister & Vogel Leather Company. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Joe enjoyed music, cars, baseball, football, movies, and cracking jokes. He will be remembered for is big, caring heart, his unconditional love for his family, and his love for his dog Nene. Joe was a jokester and enjoyed laughing.

Joe is survived by his wife Maria Vara; his dad Jose Jimenez; his mother Sandy DeLeon (Miguel) Andrade; his children Fabian and Marisol Lopez; his sisters Michele (Matt) Perez and Carol Olivarez; his nephews Augustine and Juvianni Perez; his niece Kazabella Guerra; his aunts and uncles Rita & Lee Rodriguez, Sonia & Johnathan Yamate, Greg & Gaby DeLeon, Abel & Lupe, Tony & Adell, Joshua & Christine DeLeon, and Lela & Larry Gabral; his grandparents Sanjuanita & Esteban Benítez and Gregorio & Rosa DeLeon.



Visitation will be held Friday, October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary prayed that evening at 7:00 at Guajardo Funereal Chapels. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
