Joe M. Hernandez

Joe M. Hernandez, Jr. was born in Slaton, TX on August 31, 1944 to Jose L. Hernandez and Martina Martinez Hernandez who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Janie Tovar, and two brothers, David and Armando Hernandez. Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Janie Hernandez; two daughters, Mary Benitez (John) and Diana Zamarripa; brother, Edward Hernandez Sr., five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 5-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited beginning at 7:00 pm, there will be additional time for viewing on Friday morning from 8:30 am to 1:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 beginning at 2:00pm in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
