JoAnn Solis was born in Muleshoe, TX on October 8, 1958 to Jesse Solis Sr. and Concepcion Gutierrez. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2021 at the age of 62 years. JoAnn was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 22 years, Danny Brock; mother, Concepcion Gutierrez; two sisters, Susie Mendoza and Amanda Rodriguez. She leaves behind her father; Jesse Solis Sr.; children, Albert Mendoza Jr. (Dakota), Irma Linda Mendoza (Erick) and Pablo Cruz Mendoza; ten grandchildren, Onassis, David, Isiah, Cristina, Chriselda, Leticia, Elisabeth, Simon, Samuel and Sadie; two great granddaughters, Unique and Evelyn; and one great grandson on the way; Sisters, Gloria Velasquez, Mary Solis, Francis Jimenez, Martha Hernandez and Lisa Dobbins; and by three brothers, Jessie Solis Jr, Alfonso Rodriguez and Alonzo Rodriguez; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. JoAnn knew no stranger, and was always willing to help those in need. She had many friends that loved her dearly, JoAnn was an excellent “Pool Shark”. She was a member of the APA League in Lubbock. There wasn’t a challenge that she wouldn’t take head-on. Her sticks worked magic. She was also a pet groomer for over 25 years having most recently worked at Heavenly Paws Where she had many client’s and babies she cared for. She really had a passion for sports, mainly Pro-Football, and loved the Manning Boys. Though, she recently changed over to Patrick Mahomes. She also loved music, especially live music. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the staff at Heavenly Paws, and also to the Nurses at UMC who greatly cared for her. And, thanks to her great physicians, Dr. Kashif Saleem and Dr. Lukeman Tijani for the wonderful care they provided to JoAnn while under their care. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 12-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited beginning at 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the Lorenzo Cemetery at 10:00am.
