Joann (Ybarra) Herrera

JoAnn Herrera, 59, of Lubbock, TX passed away July 10, 2020. She was born September 21, 1960 to Sara and Senobio Ybarra in Lubbock, TX. JoAnn married Pablo Herrera on November 21,1978, and they shared 42 years together. She attended Lubbock High School and was employed at Grandcourt where she worked as a housekeeper. JoAnn enjoyed seeing her grandchildren, taking naps, going to estate sales, watching cowboy movies, listening to Spanish music on her front porch, and watching DIY videos on Facebook. She was always smiling, never judgemental, and friendly to everyone. She welcomed new people with open arms and will be remembered for her famous rice.

JoAnn is survived by her husband Pablo Herrera; her children Marcie Herrera, Gracie Herrera, and Efrain Herrera; her six grandchildren Arianna Rios, Anfernee Rios, Aaron Rios, Alexandria Herrera, Nathaniel Herrera, Gabriella Herrera; and her two great-grandchildren Avah Rios and Liliana Reyna.

She is preceded in death by her parents Senobio and Sara Amado Ybarra.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, TX.
