Jimmy D. Williams

Jimmy Dale Williams, 71, passed peacefully away in his home on May 10, 2023. Jimmy was born October 11th, 1951, in Seminole, Texas, to, E.G. and Juanita Williams; he was the 6th born of 8 children.
Jimmy attended Meadow school district and joined the United States Armed Forces in February 1970 and proudly served our country in the Vietnam War for 3 years. Although an avid Dr. Pepper drinker, he retired from Coca-Cola after 23 years of service as a transport driver.
Jimmy married his late wife, Betty Jo Follis, on June 29, 1973, and shared 45 happy years. He loved his family, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, watching the New Orleans Saints and Texas Rangers play ball, and working with his hands.
He is survived by his daughter Kandra Williams of Abilene, TX, son James Williams and wife Christina of Beaufort, NC; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa (Brian) Ojeda of Nashua, New Hampshire, David Garza of Abilene, TX, Micah Cooper, Kadence Cooper, Aidan Williams, and Ian Williams all of Beaufort, NC; Siblings Linda (Chet) Atkins of Texarkana. TX, Edna Morton of New Deal, TX, Tena Williams of Lubbock, TX, Eddie (Mary) Williams of Smyer, TX, and Dean (Shawna) Williams of Lubbock, TX.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo, his son Justin Wade, his parents, E.G., and Juanita Williams, brother Larry Williams and sister Nita Kimbrell.
Services for Jimmy will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, 407 N University Ave. Lubbock, TX 79415
