Jimmy Marquez ,62, was reunited with loved ones in Heaven on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022.
Jimmy Pequeño Marquez was born on November 13, 1959 to Cleto and Hilaria Marquez in Lubbock, Tx. He was raised in Petersburg, Tx, where he met and shared his life with his wife of 43 years, Delma J. Marquez.
Jimmy’s friends, family, and loved ones fondly remember him as the life of the party, full of jokes and smooth dance moves, the jack-of-all-trades who could fix and repair anything at anytime, and the master of giving nicknames, but he was best known by all for his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers, wrestling, tejano music, and above all else his family.
Jimmy lived his life as a devoted husband, the best father to his four children, and the most loving Popo to his 11 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had an unwavering love that extended to his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
To honor Jimmy, the family requests that his favorite team’s jersey or colors of black, gold and white be worn to his services.
A Rosary for Jimmy will be held on Sunday, January 30th at 7pm at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Tx. The Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm Monday, January 31st, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg, Tx, immediately followed by interment at the Petersburg Cemetery.
