J. Felix Sanchez Olvera

J. Félix Sánchez Olvera falleció el 21 de octubre de 2024 en Lubbock, Texas a la edad de 78 años. Nació el 30 de agosto de 1946 en Encinillas, hijo de Eleuterio Olvera y Sevastiana Sánchez y asistió a las escuelas Emiliano Zapata. Posteriormente se casó con Bartola Medina y formaron una hermosa familia. Era miembro de la Iglesia Católica y se jubiló de los trabajos de construcción. Sus pasatiempos favoritos eran pasar tiempo con su familia, jugar a las cartas y disfrutar de la música. Será recordado como un gran trabajador y por cuidar a su amada esposa, hijos y nietos. El velorio se llevará a cabo el martes 22 de octubre de 3:00 a 9:00 p.m. con el Santo Rosario a las 19:00 horas. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 23 de octubre a las 10:00 a. m. en la iglesia católica St. Joseph y será oficiado por el padre Reymundo Manríquez. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio de la ciudad de Lubbock.

He was born August 30, 1946 in Encinillas to Eleuterio Olvera and Sevastiana Sanchez and attended Emiliano Zapata Schools. Later he married Bartola Medina and they created a beautiful family. He was a member of the Catholic Church and retired from construction work. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, playing cards, and enjoying music. He will be remembered as a hard worker and for caring for his beloved wife, sons, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
