Jesusa Ramirez

Jesusa Ramirez, 63, passed away June 29, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born January 2, 1957 in Denver City to Juan and Manuela Prieto. She married Manuel B. Ramirez on May 19, 1979 in Lubbock, Texas and shared 45 years together. Jesusa worked for University Plaza for 30 years and at Texas Tech University for 18 years as a housekeeper. She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strong will, her strong mind, and her love for her son and granddaughter. She was a mother figure to all of her family members.

Jesusa is survived by her son Daniel Ramirez; daughter-in-law Angela Ramirez; granddaughter Kyndal X. Ramirez; sisters Minnie Marmolejo, Diana Queta Hernandez, Norma Moa; brothers Johnny Prieto and Chris Prieto.

She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel B. Ramirez; father Juan Prieto; mother Manuela Prieto; sister Mary Carrizales; sister Diana “Nana” Prieto.

A visitation service will be held Friday, July 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Texas.
