Jessie Alonzo

Jessie A. Alonzo of Wolfforth, TX passed from this life on March 19, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born October 8, 1937 in Rosebud, TX to Apolinar and Juanita Alonzo. On November 11, 1954, he married Carolina M. Alonzo and they shared 68 years together. Jessie was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he served as a cursillista. He was a bus driver for Frenship High School. He enjoyed playing his accordion, listening to music, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for being the family clown, always telling jokes and making people laugh.

Jessie is survived by his wife Carolina, his children Herlinda Anaya and David Alonzo from Seminole, TX, Irene Alonzo, Robert Alonzo, Julian Alonzo, Louis Alanzo, and Crystal Hernandez of Lubbock; his sisters Cecila Luna and Molly Alonzo of Lubbock and Bea Orta of Burleson,TX; his brothers John Alonzo of Lubbock, TX and Rufus Alonzo of Arlington, TX; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Frank, Joe, Jr. Alonzo, and his sisters Mary Alonzo and Lupe Camacho, and his sons Tommy Alonzo, Able Alonzo, and Armando Alonzo.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm- 9:00pm on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 and from 9:00am- 2:00pm on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Woodrow.
