Jerry Michaelis

Jerry I Michaelis, Jr. was born July 23, 1967 in Houma, Louisiana to parents Jerry I Michaelis and Juanita Matherne Michaelis. He graduated from Odessa Permian High School in 1985. He briefly attended Odessa College. Jerry was taught at an early age to work with his hands. He worked at several jobs until he began training as a machinist. He specialized in custom jobs on a manual lathe. He enjoyed cooking, wood craft, hunting, and internet games.
Jerry died of natural causes September 18, 2022.
He is survived by his wife Estella Rodriguez Michaelis, parents Jerry & Juanita Michaelis, brother Chad Michaelis and wife Jennifer Hanley Michaelis.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents A.L. Michaelis, Marjorie Michaelis, Layton Matherne, and Vivian Matherne.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21 from 3:00 to 9:00 with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery.
