Jasmine Sky Gonzales, a radiant soul known for her bubbly personality and contagious laughter, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026, in Littlefield, Texas, at the tender age of 18. Born on June 14, 2007, in Lubbock, Texas, Jasmine fought a courageous battle with diabetes for nearly half her life. Despite the challenges she faced, she always carried a spirit filled with hope, humility, and an immense heart.
Jasmine’s life was one of light and love. She was known to speak warmly to everyone, never leaving anyone out, and served as a peacemaker among her many circles. Her strength was rooted deeply in prayer, and she embraced each day with the intention to be a shining light for those around her, echoing her cherished legacy: "Give it to God and always be a light in someone else’s life. You never know what battle they are facing."
A graduate of high school, Jasmine had just begun to blossom into the remarkable young woman she was destined to be. One of her proudest accomplishments was her ability to help others come out of their shells, welcoming them with a smile and kind words. She worked at Sonic Drive-In, where her warmhearted nature undoubtedly touched customers and coworkers alike.
Jasmine’s passions painted a beautiful picture of her gentle soul. She loved her talks with Jesus, treasured music—especially playing her guitar—and dreamed of having a horse. Selena's songs lifted her spirits, and she found peace in evening walks and capturing every sunset. These are memories that now serve as a lasting testament to the joy she found in life’s simplest pleasures.
Her family remembers her as a humble fighter with a huge heart. Jasmine was deeply loved by her mother, Sylvia Gonzales, and father, Everest Williams. She leaves behind seven siblings: Alexandra Gonzales, Marissa Gonzales, Andrea Williams, Maya Williams, Briella Williams, Hope Ann Conley, and Everest Williams Jr., along with his wife and two children, Kori Williams and fiancé, Desmond Williams and fiance, Gabriel Mendez and wife with two children, Joel Williams, Michael Williams, Shaun Williams, and Hermina (Mia) Gonzales. Her maternal grandparents and other grandparents, Celia Williams and Edward King, as well as numerous aunts and uncles, also carry her memory close.
Jasmine’s departed loved ones include her grandmother Guadalupe Baca, grandfather Natividad Baca, cousin Josiah "Dada" Moreno, great aunt Hortencia Molina, paternal grandmother Zoila Cardenas, and uncle Anthony Williams. They join together in heaven with her, surrounded by everlasting peace.
The family warmly invites all who knew Jasmine to honor her life and legacy at the following services: a Funeral Service on June 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 108 Hwy 303, Sudan, TX 79371; a Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, 407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415; a Funeral Service on June 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1120 52nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79412; followed by Burial at City of Lubbock Cemetery, 2011 East 31st Street, Lubbock, TX 79404, beginning at 11:15 a.m.
Though Jasmine’s journey ended far too soon, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who knew her. She fought her battles with quiet strength and left an indelible mark on this world—reminding us always to extend kindness and light, to cherish every sunset, and to hold tight to hope amidst life’s storms. Her laugh, her love, and her unwavering faith will forever be remembered and cherished.
