Jacob Curtis Venegas

Jacob Curtis Venegas was born February 20, 1989 in Hayward, CA to Curtis and Patricia Venegas and passed from this life on September 7, 2022 at the age of 33. He graduated from Lubbock Christian High School in May of 2008. Jacob enjoyed all sports, especially basketball. He loved being with his family and friends, but his favorite person is his son Jayden. Jacob will be remembered for his huge giving heart, his contagious smile, and his laugh. His unforgettable dance moves and the love he had for his family will forever be cherished memories. Jacob was generous and kind as expressed in his traditional Facebook post, "If you don't have anywhere to go, our door is always open. No one should be alone on Thanksgiving."

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Emil Luque, Jesse Venegas, Etta Venegas, Margaret Newman, uncles; Bill Tanner, Ron Taylor, Timothy James, aunts; Sonja Young, Ynez Taylor, and cousin; Val Ray Young.

Jacob is survived by his parents Curtis and Patti Venegas of Lubbock; his son Jayden Curtis Venegas of Lubbock; his grandmother Susan Luque of California; his brothers Jeremy (Sasha) Venegas of California and Jesse (Kendra) Venegas of Midland; his sisters Nicole (Corina) Venegas of Slaton, and Danielle (Jevvon) Hunter of Colorado; his nieces and nephews Israel, Mykul, Myka, Rhyana, Jaxson, Zaniah, Kaliyah, Jesse Ray, Dayvian, Cameron, Jenni, and Myles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm- 9:00pm on Monday, September 12th at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 13th at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
