Hilaria Almanza

Hilaria Ybarra Almanza passed from this life on August 28, 2024 at the age of 83. In 1956 she married Ignacio M. Almanza in Garza County, and they built a beautiful family together for many years. Hilaria enjoyed watching westerns, cooking, sewing, and crocheting.  She creatively made cute little mechanics and liked to go to Bingo. Spending time with her sisters brought her great joy.   She was a sweet person who almost never raised her voice.  Hilaria loved God and was very caring and supportive to others. She was always happy to help her family and friends with any need they may have.

Hilaria is survived by her children Rosendo, Danny, Joel, and Jody, her 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ignacio Jr., her son Ignacio Jr. III, and her daughters Mary Ann Leyva and Gracie Smith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with Elias Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, September 4 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
