Henry Tijerina

Henry Tijerina, a beloved husband, father, and friend, was born on July 15, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas. He passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering support for his family.

Henry was known for his dedication to his work in landscaping, a career that he truly enjoyed and excelled in after attending Estacado High School. His interests in yard work and fixing cars often brought him joy, allowing him to engage in activities that nurtured his talent and creativity.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Henry will remember his warm personality and gentle spirit. He was a source of strength for many, always ready to lend a helping hand. Those close to him recall fond memories, particularly the special moments spent with his beloved wife, Leticia, as they visited together and embraced the joys of parenthood with their son, Matthew Isaiah.

Henry's family played a central role in his life, and he regularly expressed pride in being a good father and husband. His love and devotion were evident in everything he did, and his support for his family was unwavering, defining his proudest accomplishments.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Leticia; his son, Matthew Isaiah; his daughter Stephanie Arriaga Moreno; his brothers, Jr. Tijerina and Neto Tijerina; his sisters, Frances Torres, Melinda Tijerina, and Esmeralda Garnica; and his niece, Jacinta Garnica. Each one of them carries a piece of Henry’s spirit in their hearts.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Cruz Tijerina, his mother, Jacinta Garnica and his son Henry TJ Tijerina. He was a great father, a hard worker, and deeply loved. Henry Tijerina will be greatly missed by his family and friends, whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him, a radiant example of love and commitment.
