Guadalupe Gonzales

Guadalupe "Shorty" Gonzales, 64, passed from this life on March 2, 2022. He was born April 21, 1957 in Crystal City, TX to Augustine and Adelfa (Prado) Gonzales. He married Barbara (Gutierrez) on September 5, 1975, and they spent 46 years together. He worked for Lubbock Building Product for 12 years and then was an over the road truck driver for many years. He will be remembered for his love of cars. He loved old cars and working on cars.
Those left to cherish is memory are his beloved wife, Barbara; his son Isreal Gonzales; his daughter Erica Rodriguez and husband Christopher all of Lubbock; and daughter Jessica Ogle and husband Chad Jones of Fort Campbell, KY; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister Criselda Gonzales; a brother Raymond Gonzales of Lubbock; and a brother Agustin Gonzales of Mansfield, TX.

He was preceded in death by both parents Augustine and Adelfa Gonzales; a son James Gonzales, two brothers Valentin and Frank Gonzales, and two great-grandchildren Adrian Gonzales and Dominic Parra.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A Holy Rosary service will be held Thursday, March 10 at 7:00 in the evening.
The funeral service will be held Friday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
