Gerardo Cervantes

Gerardo “Jerry” Cervantes passed from this life on December 15, 2024 at the age of 60.  He was born June 5, 1964 in Lockney, Texas to Felix Cervantes, Sr. and Maria Alicia Cervantes Rios and grew up in the Catholic Church. Hardworking and loyal, Jerry was employed at Quick Stripe Paving for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing in his band and making music with his buddies.  His family and friends were most important to him. He most enjoyed being a grandpa, and was a loving father, uncle, brother, and friend. Jerry lived for his family and guided them to Christ.  He will always be remembered for spreading love and compassion. A true rockstar, Jerry was much loved and will forever be remembered by those who love him.

Jerry is survived by his children Amber Davis, Elijah Cervantes, and Maria Cervantes; his grandchildren Jeremiah Davis, Jaelyn Dosia, Amirah Rios, Lola Martinez, Nevaeh Hall, Suzie Martinez, Clyden Cervantes, and Elijah Rey Cervantes, Jr.; his brothers Felix Cervantes, Jr. and Jimmy Cervantes; his sisters Martina Cervantes, Arcie Biggerstaff, Judy Cervantes, and Elisa Cervantes, and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, many close friends and bandmates, and his dear Coco.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
