George Luna Ybarra

George Ybarra was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 4, 1954 to Jose and Josefa Ybarra who preceded him in death. George was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alivia Zavala. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 5, 2021 at the age of 66 years. George leaves behind his son, Michael Ybarra of Lubbock, daughter, Janie Ybarra and son-in-law Jay Zavala. His daughter Janie had many friends that became George’s “daughters” also. Three of these friends that were so close to him were Vanessa Bosquez, Melinda Anguiano and Gina Sauceda. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Desiree Ybarra, Michael R. Ybarra, Aracelie Ybarra, Jordan Brown, Ricky Cerna, Jaelynn Zavala, Kassidie Zavala, Savannah Zavala and Alyssa Zavala; six great grandchildren, his girlfriend, Rosa Coffee and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many life long friends. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 12-9pm, and again on Tuesday, January 12 from 9am-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm.
