Francisco "Frank" Sanchez-Yanes passed from this life at the age of 78. He was born January 21, 1947 in Hearne, Texas to Raymundo Yannis and Paola Sanchez. He was an honor student and graduate of Jonah School in Jonah, Texas. In 1970, he married his beloved wife Celedonia "Sally" Perez-Yanes in Georgetown, Texas. They shared 48 beautiful years of marriage, building a strong, loving family. He was a parishioner of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, Texas. One of Frank's many talents was building and construction. As a self-employed construction contractor, he helped design and build many residential areas in the Sun City community. Frank enjoyed watching competitive sports; football and baseball were his favorites. Frank was a loving soul who taught his children by example to be patient, caring, and respectful people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and son, leaving a legacy of love and gratitude.
Frank is survived by: his children, Ricardo Yanes (Jesse Madrid), Marcario Rodriguez (Patty), Amanda Jean Yanes, and Adelaide Gail Yanes; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Erninio Yannis (Linda), Victor Yannis (Josie); his sisters, Maryhelen De Ochoa (Luis), Betty Rosa. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Celedonia "Sally" Perez-Yanes, and his parents.
A visitation will be held Sunday, September 22 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
