Fermin Baca, Jr., 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 2, 2020. He was born September 21, 1957 in Long Beach, California and attended Lubbock High School. Fermin was employed at X-Fab. As a member of The Potter’s House, Fermin enjoyed going to church and traveling to revivals. Sunday afternoons were for watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Fermin also loved spending time with his Dorian and Dazrine. Fermin will be remembered for his selfless concern for those he loved. He always put his family before his own needs and would literally give you the shirt off his back. Fermin coached Youth Football and Little League Baseball for over 15 years. He was a faithful servant until the day he went home.
Fermin is survived by his sisters Hope Gonzales, Mary H. Flores, and Grace Cuevas; and his brother Raymon Cervantez.
He is preceded in death by his father Fermin Baca, Sr., his mother Rachel G. Vasquez, his brothers Juan Baca and Ricky Baca, and man’s best friend Tiger.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 6 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and continue Wednesday, October 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
The family asks those attending the funeral service to wear Dallas Cowboys clothing or colors.
