Felipa (Acosta) Solis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Felipa Solis, who left us peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 5, 1935, in Villa Coronado, Chihuahua, Mexico, Felipa spent her later years in Slaton, TX, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness.
Felipa was married to the love of her life, Manuel Solis Sr., for an incredible 57 years. Together, they built a beautiful family. She took immense pride in her role as a homemaker, pouring her heart into her family, whether through her delicious cooking, her knack for knitting, or her thriving garden.
A strong woman of faith, Felipa was a minister ordained by the Unified Pentecostal local churches. She devoted herself to her spiritual journey and found solace in her Bible, sharing her love and wisdom with those around her. She will be sorely missed but fondly remembered for her nurturing spirit and unconditional love for her family.
Felipa is survived by: her children; Sylvia Garza, Janie (Phillip) Pesina, Alma Solis, Manuel (Sara) Solis Jr., Maggie Salazar, Samuel (Nona) Solis, Adolfo (Jasmine) Solis, Javier (Belinda) Solis, Mary Lou (Al) Guitron, Josue (Mari) Solis, 40 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Felipa was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Solis Sr.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-9:00pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with a prayer service at 7:00pm
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00am at First Assembly of God Church.
Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, in Woodrow, Texas.
Rest in peace, dear Felipa. Your legacy of love will forever remain in our hearts.
