Felipa (Gomez) Montes

Felipa Gomez Montes went to a better life on Thursday, May 23, 2019. She was born on February 5, 1935 and was 84 years old. Felipa was preceded in death by her husband, Juan M. Montes; sons, Jerry Montes, Sr., and Ricardo “Longo” Montes; daughter, Virginia Montes; granddaughter, Jessica Montes; and grandson, Jerry Montes, Jr.; and by one sister, Belew. She left behind her loving family; son, John M. Montes, Jr. (Hilda); daughter, Rebecca Montes Hernandez (Arnulfo); two sisters, Maria Elena and Nancy; and numerous grand/great grand/and great-great grandchildren. Felipa loved her volunteer work with the Lubbock State Supported Living Center as one of their “Adoptive Grandmothers”. A time for visitation and viewing will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Monday, May 27, 2019 from 9am to 9pm, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Private services have been requested.
