Eusebio Najera Torrez, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior December 8, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. He was born March 3, 1931 in Goodland, TX to Juanita Najera and Guadalupe Torrez. He married Ernestine Campos Torrez on April 15, 1954, and they shared 63 years building a beautiful family together. Eusebio spent 30 years as a crane operator at Commercial Metals Company and 25 years working at Dunlap’s Retail Store. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church where he served as a cursillistas and was a member of the Men’s Society. Eusebio loved to travel and enjoyed working in his yard. He also enjoyed bingo and casinos. His dogs Angel and Rambo were much loved and cared for, and he enjoyed their company. Loved ones will remember the times Eusebio sang to them.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Juanita (Janie) Torrez Perez and Lovelia Torrez Martinez; four sons Reynaldo (Geneva) Torrez of Lexington, KY, Edward (Victoria) Torrez, Oscar (Eva) Torrez, Hector (Mary Ann) Torrez all of Lubbock, three sons from a previous marriage Alfredo Torrez of Pharr, TX, Guadalupe Torrez of Moises Lake, WA, and Juan Torrez of Reynosa, Mexico; and one brother Jose Ramirez of Boise, ID; 34 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Eusebio is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Torrez, his parents, two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one son-in-law.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
