Eugenio V. Vasquez

Eugenio Vasquez went to his eternal home January 1, 2021 at the age of 94. He was born September 16, 1926 in Brownsville, Texas to Manuel and Marcelina Vasquez. On August 23, 1952 Eugenio married Adelaida Acuna Vasquez in Lubbock, Texas, and they shared 67 years together. Employed at Atkins Junior High School, Eugenio worked as a custodian. He was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and enjoyed dancing, fishing, and gardening. Eugenio will be remembered as a quiet, peaceful man, a good father and grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Joe (Mariana), Eugene (Stephanie), and Johnny; his daughter Minerva; grandchildren Michael, Mandy, Joey, Sean, Madison, Curtis, Scotty, and Eugene (Bruce); and great grandchildren Mariah, Sophia, Zachary, and Alex.
Eugenio is preceded in death by his wife Adelaida Vasquez.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 10 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary Prayer at 7:00 that evening at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
