Ernestina Rivera Villanueva, a devoted and beloved member of her community, was born on November 11, 1931, in Maxwell, Texas. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith and her commitment to serving the Lord for an impressive 73 years. Ernestina's character radiated warmth and love, and her presence enriched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.

On December 22, 2025, Ernestina departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, embodying the spirit of unconditional love that she often encouraged others to embrace. Her favorite saying, "Yeah, right," resonated with a unique blend of humor and practicality, reflecting her ability to navigate life's challenges with grace and positivity.

Ernestina is survived by a circle of loving family and friends who will cherish her memory. Among them are Rosa Martinez, Enemencio Villanueva, Carmen Marsh, Josie Villanueva, Emily DeLeon, Minerva Gonzales, Irma Salazar, Ruben Villanueva, Ester Villanueva, Sara V. Flores, Daniel Villanueva, and Marcos Villanueva. Each individual holds their own special memories of her, and together they will continue to honor her legacy of faith and love.

A visitation will be held on January 1, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, located at 407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415. The funeral service will take place the following day, January 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, concluding at 11:00 AM.
