Emma (Rodriguez) Pena

Services for Emma Rodriguez Pena, 72, of Lubbock, TX will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Guarjardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Texas.

Interment will be at Anton Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Friends and family are invited to pray the rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Family will be greeting visitors Tuesday morning from 10:00am until noon and Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, when the rosary will begin; guests are also welcome to view the body anytime Tuesday.

Emma passed away in the arms of her loving daughter, Renee Pena, on Saturday, July 13th at the Plaza of Lubbock.

She was born on October 8, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Antonio and Irene Rodriguez, of Anton, Texas. She had 2 beautiful daughters, 5 handsome grandsons, and 8 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed praying the rosary with her friends and was active in her community, where she enjoyed time with friends and family.

She is survived by her brother, David Rodriguez and his wife Lydia, one of her daughters, Renee Pena, her grandsons, Lupe Pena, Daniel Ybarra, Santos Davila, Rudy Trevino, and Rick Trevino. In addition to her parents, Antonio and Irene, she is preceded in death by her other daughter, Sylvia Pena, and her two brothers Robert Rodriguez and Ricky Rodriguez.
