Elizabeth Martell

Elizabeth Martell, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2025, after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was born on March 5, 1974, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and lived a life defined by her unwavering kindness, deep passion for family, and loyalty to those she loved.

As a dedicated Customer Service Representative at Wells Fargo, Elizabeth exemplified commitment and understanding, traits that earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike. Her genuine nature shone through in all her interactions, as she was always willing to extend a helping hand and listen with an open heart.

Elizabeth leaves behind her loving husband, James Martell, whom she married after falling in love with her high school sweetheart. Their happy marriage served as an inspiration to many, embodying the essence of love and partnership. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Xzavier Martell, Zachary Martell, and Marissa Martell, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life. Elizabeth’s role as a mother was paramount to her, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.

Her legacy also includes a granddaughter, Nyellie Blu Patterson, who brought immense joy to Elizabeth's life. She was incredibly proud of her family, often expressing that being a mother, wife, and grandmother were among her greatest accomplishments.

In addition to her family, Elizabeth is survived by her loving mother, Mary Mendoza, and her brother, Jesse Ruiz. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Elizabeth had a creative spirit and found joy in decorating for every season, diligently crafting and designing shirts that demonstrated her artistic flair. Her passions extended beyond her hobbies; she was known for her respectful and honest demeanor, always placing her family at the forefront of her life.

As we remember Elizabeth, we hold onto the memories of her kindness and the profound impact she had on those around her. She is predeceased by Richard Ruiz, Isaac Rojo, Rudy Mendoza, and Encarnacion Martell.

Friends and family are invited to honor Elizabeth’s life during the visitation at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Texas, on August 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the same location on August 8, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.

Elizabeth Martell's remarkable spirit and loving heart will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
