Elias Salaz

Elias Mendez Salaz, Sr. was born in Waelder, TX on March 23, 1937 to Donaciano Salaz and Maria Mendez Salaz who preceded him in death. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 22, 2018 at the age of 81. Elias is survived by his loving wife, Elida Salaz; children, Gilbert Salaz (Sylvia), Rosa Carmina Romo (Fernando), Elizabeth Salaz, Anita Duffy (Jerry Don), and Elias Salaz, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Frances and Consuelo; and by two brothers, Raymond and Greg. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, from 1:00pm-9:00pm and again on Thursday, October 25, from 9:00am-9:00pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm, all at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 26 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery, Woodrow, TX.
