Elena Barboza Vasquez

Elena Barboza Vasquez, 59, went to her eternal home January 31, 2021. She was born June 17, 1961 in Lubbock, TX to Manuel Vasquez and Jineva Barboza Vasquez. A 1980 graduate of Lubbock High School, Elena worked as an assembler at Tyco Fire Products. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, eating out, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Elena will be remembered for being a great mother and grandmother who was loved by everyone. She was always there when anyone needed her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Jineva Vasquez, her father Manuel Vasqez, her brother Manuel Vasquez, Jr., her daughter Christina Vasquez, her sons Jaime Vasquez and Chris Vasquez, her granddaughter Zoie Vasquez, and her grandsons Legend Vasquez and Alejandro Vasquez.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. and the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 that evening at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
