Eddie Ortiz

Eddie Lopez Ortiz was born December 31, 1969 and passed from this life on December 22, 2022 at the age of 52. He married Jo Ann Davila Ortiz on April 18, 1998 and they shared 26 years together. He graduated from Lorenzo High School and served in the United States Army. He worked at Bimbo Bakeries as an independent operator for 19 years before working for Johnson Pumping as a truck driver for 3 years. He was a big fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys. Eddie enjoyed wood working, remodeling, and watching football. He will be remembered for being kind, loving, and respectful. He took pride in his work and worked hard all his life to provide for his family.
Eddie is survived by his wife Jo Ann Davila Ortiz, his son John Anthony Davila aka Jad Ortiz, his daughter Brooke Ann Ortiz, his granddaughter Mia'Leigh Marie Davila, his father Ramon Ortiz, his mother Dominga Ortiz, his sisters Cindy Ann Mayne (Howard), Patty Ortiz Minor (Daniel), and Terry Ann Hall, 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m at Guajardo Funeral Chapels
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with interment to follow at Lorenzo Cemetery.
