Donald Parks

Donald Eugene Parks, Sr. passed from this life on March 19, 2024 at the age of 76. He married Bobbie Patterson in Hempstead, Texas on April 14, 1985, and they shared 38 years together. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he valiantly earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Donald was a truck driver and any time he could be at the lake he was there boating and fishing. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage and playing a game of dominos. He will be remembered as the life of the party because he was never without a joke and always made people laugh.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Bobbie Parks, his children Elliott Parks, Julie Parks, Jeannie Batey, Donald Parks, Jr., James Wilkes, Billy Wilkes, Courtney Winters and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Parks and Donna Cotner.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
