Domingo Garcia

Family and friends will celebrate the life of Domingo Mireles Garcia, Sr. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. He passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. On March 18, 1951, Domingo was born to Ramon, Sr. and Petra Garcia in Stanton, TX. In 1968, he married Dora Alicia Montes. Domingo enjoyed fishing, shooting rifles, watching western shows, and listening to corridos. He was always joking around, and no one ever knew when to take him seriously. Domingo worked as a forklift driver for 31 years at Eagle Pitcher.
Survivors include his sons Domingo Garcia, Jr. (Lupe), Moses Garcia, and Adrian Garcia (Heather) all of Lubbock; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Manuela Saenz of Lubbock, Oralia Espindola (Jose) of Dacono, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews. Domingo is preceded in death by his wife Dora, his parents Ramon, Sr. and Petra Garcia, his two daughters Lori Garcia and Cynthia Garcia, his son Andrew Garcia, and his brother Ramon Garcia, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 24 with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
