Diana Jones

Diana Jones passed away on July 9, 2025 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Diana Jones was born Diana Medellin in Lubbock, Texas on September 19, 1959 to her mother Josefina Medellin and father Pablo Medellin. Diana was caring, loving and always willing to do for others. People will tell you that Diana was nice and would always help in any way that she could. John (son) enjoyed her cooking meals for him after school and the memories they shared together as he grew up from teaching him how to tie his shoes to teaching him how to drive. Diana was always smiling and was never empty handed when she showed up to visit. Diana’s smile and her laugh was contagious. Diana enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee in the morning, sitting outside and watching the Dallas Cowboys play. Diana enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and would show up with as many gifts she could fit into bags. Diana was sweet but she had a feisty side when it came to messing with her loved ones. Diana would do absolutely anything and everything to see her family smile and succeed. Diana’s surviving relatives Josefina Medellin (mother), Jaine Paez (sister), Rosita Diaz (sister), Ricardo Medellin (brother), Linda Medellin (sister), Ernestina Medellin (sister), Ruby Medellin (sister), Silvia Gonzales (sister), Maria Medellin- Tirado (sister), John Paul Carrasco (son) and Kayla Carrasco (daughter in law), and her grandchildren Marquez Rodriguez, Cyress Carrasco, Phoenix Carrasco, Griffin Carrasco, Yadhira Carrasco and Michael Ramirez (son) and  Armando Calderon Ramirez (grandson). Diana’s relatives who passed before her: Joe Jones (Husband), Pablo Medellin (father), Manuel Medellin (brother), Johnny Medellin (brother), Felipa Medellin Talamantez (sister) and Dominga Medellin Galindo (sister). Diana will be dearly missed and will always be remembered in our hearts. The funeral service for Diana will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 1, 2025 at Guajardo Funeral Home.
