Diana Bustillos Jimenez, beloved homemaker and cherished family matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in her hometown of Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on May 18, 1957, in Lubbock, Diana’s life was marked by warmth, humor, and a radiant smile that truly lit up every room she entered.

Throughout her life, Diana dedicated herself to her family, excelling in her role as a homemaker and sharing her love through her passion for cooking. Those fortunate enough to know her remember her as a funny, joyful soul whose presence brought light and laughter to every gathering.

Diana was a woman who held her family close to her heart and took great pride in her roles as a mother, sister, wife, friend, and grandmother. Her proudest accomplishments were reflected in the strong, loving bonds she fostered with the people she cared for most deeply.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert Jimenez; her daughter Lucee (Ray) Salas; her son Joe Adam Riojas; daughter-in-law Melissa G. Jimenez; and grandson Anthony Teran. Diana also leaves behind her brothers Ruben (Beca) Bustillos, Ismael Bustillos, and Robert (Virginia) Bustillos, as well as her sister Margie Diaz.

Diana was preceded in death by her dear parents, Henry and Louisa (Aguirre) Bustillos; her sister Norma Foster; and her son Chris Jimenez.

The family invites all who knew Diana to join in paying tribute to her memory during visitation services held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, located at 407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415. The visitations will take place on March 24, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and continue on March 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be held at the same location on March 25 at 7:00 PM.

A Mass in celebration of Diana’s life will be held on March 26, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 102 N Avenue P, Lubbock, TX 79401. Following the Mass, a burial service will take place at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, 2011 East 31st Street, Lubbock, TX 79404, starting at 11:15 AM.

Diana Bustillos Jimenez’s legacy of love, laughter, and commitment to family will be remembered and treasured by all who were blessed to know her. Her bright spirit and generous heart leave an indelible mark on her family and community, ensuring that her memory will live on in their hearts forever.
