Dennis Wayne Box of Wolfforth, Texas passed away July 11, 2024 at the age of 73. He was the loving husband of LouNet Box, whom he married in 1971 and shared 53 wonderful years with. When they met, they had a connection immediately and she knew he was the man she was going to marry. LouNet loved his big heart, generous spirit, and his willingness to help others.
He honorably served seven years in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He recently worked as a corrections officer at the Montford Correctional Facility, where his lighthearted personality, hard work, and dedication will be missed.
Dennis enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He was lovingly known for having a sweet tooth and he always enjoyed Cherry Mash Candy, Mountain Dew, and he loved his wife's homemade ice cream.
He will always be remembered as being a God loving man, who tremendously loved his family. His dedication to work hard and provide for them will forever be in their hearts. Dennis always found time to show his devotion to his family with his acts of love for them. The example he set as a devoted father, husband, and man helped to shape his sons into the men they are today. Dennis's determination and ingenuity for problem solving will continue to serve as a lesson to his sons to keep trying, keep fighting, and never give up.
He is survived by his wife LouNet, their four sons Jason, Brandon, Jeremy, and Jared, sixteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Dennis will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on the 10th of August 2024 at Guajardo Funeral Chapel in Lubbock, Texas.
