Delia Bautista

Delia Salazar Bautista, 67, of Lubbock, Texas passed away from this life on May 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 1, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas to Ramon and Margarita Salazar. She worked for many years in Government City Corrections, from which she retired. Delia was a member of Encounter Grace Church, and She enjoyed talking about her faith in Jesus! In the mornings, she enjoyed sitting in her chair, meditating with her French vanilla coffee. She loved spending time with "Los Hermanos" in bible study, singing, and eating late night desserts after church services.
She will be remembered for her deep love for others. She sought out people who had needs, her heart was to give openly because God had given openly to her. She will forever be remembered for her faith that resembled 1st century Christians; singing to Jesus no matter the circumstance , even unto death.
She is survived by: her children, Juan Moises Bautista and Florentino Adrian Bautista; her siblings, Carolina (Joe) Flores and Adam (Connie) Salazar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is Preceded in death by: Ramon Salazar Jr., Irene Salazar Reveles, and Robert Salazar.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. on Monday, May 13, 2024 and from 9:00 A.M. -9:00P.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A Prayer Service will be held both evenings from 7:00P.M.-8:00P.M.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Encounter Grace Church, 101 East Tulane St, Lubbock,Texas 79403

Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Following Interment, lunch will be provided at Encounter Grace Church.
