David Willis Mcwhirter

David Willis McWhirter Jr., 64, of Anton, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2021, in Midland, Texas.
David attended Sentinel High School in Sentinel, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, David joined the U.S. Navy and moved to Littlefield, Texas where he met the love of his life, Delores C. McWhirter. David and Delores were married in Shallowater, Texas on April 8, 1977, and shared 44 beautiful years together.
He was employed at Watt & Stewart Trucking and worked as a truck driver in the Oil and Gas Industry. He was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church in Anton, TX. David loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandbabies.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, giving nature, loving heart, plethora of knowledge and loyalty to his family.
David is survived by the love of his life, his wife Delores C. McWhirter; two sons David McWhirter and his wife Allie of Monahans, TX, Daniel McWhirter and his wife Lorraine of Morton, TX; and one daughter Nicole (CoCo) McWhirter-Flores and her husband Mike of Celina, TX; his mother Mary McWhirter of Springtown, TX; two sisters, Onnie Keeton of Springfield, AR and Zoe Archer of Springtown, TX; one brother Wade McWhirter of Plano, TX; and 8 grandchildren: Lauren McWhirter, Braden Flores, Koben Flores, Kaidyn Flores, Fox McWhirter, Ainsley Flores, Sawyer McWhirter, and Sylvia-Shay McWhirter.
He is preceded in death by his father David Willis McWhirter, Sr., his sister Vada Lee Romero, and one granddaughter Ava Lucia McWhirter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Anton, TX with Father Ernesto officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
