David Castro passed from this life on March 5, 2022 at the age of 55. He was born January 6, 1967 in Lubbock, TX to Lucio Castro and Dalia Torres. He married Nancy Arroyos February 14, 1992 and they shared 25 years together. David was a graduate of Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University. He was a maintenance operations manager at TTU for over 20 years and well known at United Spirit Arena. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace and Guadalupe Catholic Churches, served on the Dixie Little League Board, and coached Little League baseball at Dixie. David enjoyed spending time with his children going to rock & roll shows, coaching, antique shopping, and watching the Simpsons and the New England Patriots. He will be remembered for his huge heart, his voice, his language "lingo" and his stories.
David is survived by his daughters Gabriella Castro and Cassandra Castro; his sons Nicholas Castro and Nathaniel "Jett" Castro; his father Lucio Castro; his mother Dalia Rodriquez; his brothers Frank Castro, Lupito Rodriquez, Gregory Castro, Jeremy Rodriquez, and Patrick Rodriquez; and his sisters Patti Jo Rodriquez and Renee Vargas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Castro and his brother Lucio Castro, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 9:00 Thursday, March 10 with the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11 with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
