Daniel R. Gutierrez

Daniel R. Gutierrez age 64 of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Daniel was born on November 25, 1953 in Levelland, Texas, son of Augustino and Basilia Gutierrez. He is preceded in death by his brother Augustino Jr. Gutierrez and sister Genoveva Gutierrez. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez, son Tommy Dimas (Margarita Dimas), daughter Diana Dimas (Jesse Moreno); grandchildren Adriana Deleon (Lou Quezada) Daniel Deleon, Mia Dimas, Tommy A. Dimas; great grandchildren Lauren Quezada, Lucus Quezada and John Paul Deleon. Brothers include: Frank Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez, Librado Gutierrez, Pablo Gutierrez, Edward Gutierrez. Sisters include: Teresa Gomez and Eufemia Gutierrez. Daniel made his career at Stock Building Supply for 28 years and many years with previous building companies. Daniel was an amazing husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed family, music and making people laugh. He was a very giving and hard-working man. Daniel will be truly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Thursday, 4/19 from 3-9pm and again on Friday, 4/20 from 9am-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited beginning at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 4/21 at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
