Daniel Doan

Daniel William Doan was born in Versailles, Kentucky to Orville and Daisy Doan on December 17, 1946 and passed from this life on December 20, 2024 at the age of 78. He married Stephanie on January 10, 1970 and they shared 38 years together.  He graduated from Harrison County High School and honorably served four years in the United States Air Force where he received a Purple Heart Cluster and the Vietnam Service Medal. Daniel served as the Supervisor of Aviation for 31 years at the Lubbock International Airport and was a member of Family Harvest Church in Lubbock, Texas.  He enjoyed working on cars, HVAC, and plumbing.  He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and fur babies. Daniel will be remembered for at times being a stubborn, strong-willed man that believed a certain way.  He always did whatever was needed to ensure those he loved were taken care of.  He lived a full, happy and memorable life and is still loved by others.

Daniel is survived by his children Daniel Doan II and Shonda Doan McCoy, his four grandchildren Christopher “Chris” Doan, Andrea Blanchard, Charles Blanchard IV, and Catherine “Kate” McCoy.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Stephanie Doan, his siblings Johnie Doan, Bennie Doan, Grant Doan, and Donna Coker, and his parents Orville and Daisy Doan.

A Memorial Service with Military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
