Cynthia Barrera Campos

Cynthia Barrera was born on October 23, 1963, and passed away at home in Irving, Texas, in the care of her family, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 62. She was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Cynthia was incredibly proud to be a grandmother to her six grandchildren who brought constant light to her life. As a registered nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for others with the compassion and kindness she showed in every relationship. Her greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother to her son, Bryan, and seeing the family he and Suzanne have built together. Above all else, her life was a reflection of her faith: her joy, her ability to forgive, and her complete surrender to God’s will.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marcelino Orosco, Maria Inez Orosco, Benito Barrera, and Maria Antonia Barrera, and by her father, Pablo Ordaz Barrera.

Cynthia leaves behind her loving mother, Oralia Orosco Barrera; her caring siblings, Sylvia Wallace (Scott), Belinda Caswell (Noel), Eric Barrera (Anna), and Jerome Barrera; her devoted son, Bryan Thomas Barrera (Suzanne); and her beloved grandchildren, Owen Andrew Barrera, Phillip Anthony Barrera, Mary Eloise Barrera, Colin Thomas Barrera †, Aoife Marie Barrera, and Paul Wendell Barrera.

A visitation will be held on January 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will take place on January 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Incarnation at the University of Dallas, located at 1845 E. Northgate Dr. Irving, Texas 75062.

Cynthia will be laid to rest and given a final blessing on January 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, located at 15602 TX 493 Loop, Lubbock, Texas 79423.

The committal will occur at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Inc, situated at 15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 79423, on January 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
