Crespin Orosco

December 10, 1931 — January 12, 2023

Crespin R. Orosco went home to be with Jesus and family at the age of 91. He was born December 10, 1931 to Marcelino and Inez Orosco in Hondo, TX. He married the love of his life, Olivia Acuna, June 29, 1956. They were married 49 years and had 5 beautiful children.

Crespin proudly served his country and is a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic at Frontier Dodge for 35 years until he retired. After retirement he could not find enough work to do at home and worked part-time at Guajardo Funeral Chapels until he fully retired at the age of 80 years old.

Most people knew Crespin as Pino but to many he was Grandpa. Grandpa and Grandma were long time members of St. Joseph Catholich Church attending every Saturday until covid hit and then health issues began. He would watch Catholic mass on tv and prayed daily as his faith was very important to him. He really loved spending time with his family, BBQ's, watching the Dallas Cowboys play and working on his yard. Grandpa will always be remembered for his big heart and love he gave to many. Even those who were not blood related felt the love he gave and had an immediate connection to calling him Grandpa, which made him very proud.

Those left to cherish his memory; two sons, David and Crespin Jr. and wife Patsy; three daughters Janie Hernandez and husband Israel "Tony", Maria Silvar and Elsa Morin; all of Lubbock. Sister Oralia Barrera of Dallas, TX; 16 Grandchildren; 41 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Charles "Beaver" Rios, we know Grandpa had so much love and respect for you.

Preceeded in death by Wife Olivia Orosco; Mom Inez Orosco and Dad Marcelino Orosco of Fresno, CA; brother Juan Orosco of Ogden, UT; sisters Manuela Olivas of Fresno, CA; Gudalupe Orosco of Hondo, TX and Francesca Mata of Lubbock. Grandson Jacob Hernandez, Great-Grandson David Orosco III; two daughters in law, Diana Orosco and Antonia Orosco and Son in law Greg Silvar.
