Connie Smith, affectionately known as "Little Nugget," passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on December 14, 1940, Connie graced the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her with her loving spirit and warm hugs. She was a vibrant individual with a feisty and spunky nature, showcasing determination and resilience throughout her life as a true survivor.

Connie delighted in the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in her hobbies of quilting, sewing, and shopping at the dollar store. Her creative spirit and talent in crafting left a lasting impression on her family and friends, and her laughter and love will echo in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her loving family, which includes Tammy Perez and her husband Robin, Darryl Davis and his wife Judy, Kim Vice and her husband Ray, Bill Davis and his wife Nicole, Michaelle McGuire and her husband Jason, Margarite Smith and her dog Patty Cakes, Rusty Mitchell and his wife Dee, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A special thank you is extended to her sister Patty and her husband Dr. Mike "Doc" Giesselmann for everything they did for her and to Inhabit Home Health, City Link Transit Management of Abilene and to all the sweet customers from Patty's Heart Quilt Shop. 

Connie is preceded in death by her adoring husband Bill Smith, her parents Margarite and William Tandy Mitchell, and her brother Michael Mitchell.

As we celebrate Connie's remarkable life, it is clear that she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, determination, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
