Concepcion M. Sanchez

Concepcion M. Sanchez passed from this life on August 12, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born February 11, 1943, to Raul Munoz Sr. and Julia Nieto. Born and raised in George West, Texas, Concepcion graduated from George West High School and was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She married Santiago Sanchez, Sr. on March 13, 1965, and they shared 59 years together making memories and building a beautiful family. Sewing was her specialty. The many blankets and pillowcases she made for her family are priceless treasures. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed making her delicious tortillas and cupcakes for birthday parties. She made every occasion a special one! She is best known for dressing up and wearing beautiful jewelry, especially her wedding rings. She enjoyed bingo, scratch tickets, and shopping. She was always at Bingo enjoying her fries and Dr. Pepper. Win or lose, she loved her horses. Her mottos were, "Been there, done that" and "I am always there!"
Concepcion will be missed by all who love her and will forever be carried in their hearts. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Santiago Sanchez, Jr. (Patsy), Audra Ann Sanchez, Jo Ann Sanchez, Rudy Sanchez, Sr. (Cris), her brother Roberto Munoz and his family, her grandchildren April Lerma (Randy), Eric Sanchez (Andrea), Amanda Sanchez, Christopher, Joseph, Mirrah, Joaquin, KD, Rudy Jr., Ryan, Nicholas, Nathan, Anyssa, Brandon, Landon, Maniya, and her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Santiago Sanchez, Sr., her grandson Elvis Nathan Sanchez, her father Raul Munoz, her mother Julia Nieto, her sister Cecilia, and her brothers Raul Jr., Joe, and Julio Munoz.



Visitation will be held Sunday, August 18 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with Father Martin Pena officiating. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery.
