Christobal Lopez

Christobal Lopez, 62, passed away on August 18, 2020, in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was born January 31, 1958 in Abernathy, Texas to Armando and Elida Lopez. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1976 and was employed at Reytech Services, L.L.C. as a Superintendent. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. He enjoyed spending time watching and supporting his grandchildren in all activities. He loved being outdoors, staying active, and traveling to see his family in west Texas. He will be remembered for being an involved and loving parent and grandpa. He was witty and funny, but most importantly he was always there for others. He was very giving and always a call away to help anyone without a question. He was a sharp dressed man with smooth dance moves. He knew how to wear a hat and boots. We will never forget the sound of his voice from the bleachers or courtside. He was whole-heartedly invested in spending time with his family no matter how tired or overworked he was or how far he had to go. He lived for love and time spent together.

Christobal is survived by his children David Lopez and his wife Melissa, Christobal Lopez, Jr., Lisa Lopez and her fiance Joseph Mason, Daniella Lopez and her partner Luis Ordaz, and Gabriel Lopez; his grandchildren David Lopez, Jr., Dezirae Lopez, Danae Lopez, Lou Mason, Joseph Mason, Jr., and Aiden Lopez; his siblings Armando Lopez, Jr. and his wife Elsa, Mary Garza, Janie Wilson, Rick Lopez, Linda Lopez, Esmeralda Ortiz and her husband Gus, and Elizabeth Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his parents Armando and Elida Lopez.

A viewing will be held Sunday, August 23, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and the Holy Rosary will be prayed Monday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. These will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A private, family Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
