Celia Suarez Covarrubio passed from this life on January 20, 2025, at her home in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 65. She was the wife of Danny Covarrubio. They married September 02, 1978, in Lubbock. She attended Lubbock High School. She was employed at Lubbock Independent School District as a Cafeteria worker and Wells Fargo as a phone banker. Celia was a member of many churches throughout her life, including Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Grace and St. Patrick's. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, frequenting garage sales and crafting. She is remembered for her love of Tejano and County music, traveling to visit family and trying her luck at casinos.
She is survived by her husband Danny Covarrubio, her children DeAnn Gonzales, Joshua Covarrubio, and Danny Harris Covarrubio (Dustin), her grandchildren Marcoe Hernandez, Orlando Gonzales, Umia Gonzales, and Carlos Gonzales, her 7 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Henry Suarez, Sylvia (Ruben Preceeded in death) Ramirez, Maria (Eddie) Rojas, Julia (Jesus) Gallegos, and David Suarez.
She is Preceded in death by her parents Miguel and Ninfa Suarez and her brothers Valantine Suarez, Jimmy Suarez and Miguel Suarez II.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
