In Loving Memory of Bill Guy Irwin
Bill Guy Irwin was born on December 30, 1964, in Roswell, New Mexico, and passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 59. Though his time on earth feels far too short, he filled every moment with kindness, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Bill was a proud graduate of Coronado High School, where he made lifelong friends through band, choir, and the Mustang Club. He went on to serve in the Marine Reserves, a testament to his deep sense of duty and commitment. As the owner of Data-Line Office Systems, he built a career that reflected his dedication and hard work.
Beyond his accomplishments, Bill’s true passions lay in the things that brought him joy—building and racing classic cars, playing the trumpet, singing, and practicing Isshin Ryu Karate. But more than anything, he will be remembered for his generous spirit, his quick wit, and the way he always put others before himself. His heart was as big as his personality, and he never hesitated to offer a helping hand or a well-timed joke to lighten the mood.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his beloved daughter, Ami Mitchell; his nephews, Kelton Merrbach and Corvin Bathgate, who were like sons to him; and his precious granddaughter, Elly May Mitchell, who was the light of his life. He is reunited in peace with his grandmother, Ray Barnett; his parents, William Guy Irwin and Robin Camille Hulse; and his uncle, Russel Hulse.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, with Brett Lawrence officiating.
Bill’s love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. Though he is gone, his spirit will never be forgotten.
