Our loving son, brother, and uncle, Aurelio Serna, Jr., 55, went to be with our heavenly Lord on July 1, 2019. Aurelio was born in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico to Aurelio Sr. and Esperanza Serna on August 4, 1963. Aurelio graduated from Seagraves High School in Seagraves, Tx, and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems from South Plains College in Levelland, Tx. At the age of 19, Aurelio started working at United Parcel Services (UPS) in the accounting department and later became a driver for 34 years. He proudly dedicated 36 years of service to UPS. He loved music, sports, grilling and spending time with his family and friends. Aurelio was a big Dallas Cowboy and Texas Tech fan. Survivors include his father: Aurelio Sr.; five brothers: Jerry and wife Ysabel, Fermin and wife Lupe, Johnny and wife Kristi, Mario and wife Eloisa, and Alfred Serna; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother: Esperanza; brothers: Roman and Jorge; and his aunt: Reina Mendez. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Covenant Medical Center for their compassion and understanding during his care. Services will be provided by Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Visitation will begin on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited beginning at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2019 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ramon Catholic Church. Interment services to follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
