Anselmo B. Vasquez, Jr.

Anselmo Briones Vasquez, Jr., born April 12, 1944, in Slaton, Texas to Anselmo Vasquez, Sr. and Ruth Briones Vasquez, passed on November 26, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Anselmo was a dedicated family man and a dependable provider. He took great pride in his work as a machine operator and welder and was known for his strong work ethic and friendly, welcoming nature. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and listening to Spanish music – two passions that brought him joy throughout his life.

He loved his family deeply, and his kindness, warmth, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons Marcus Vasquez and wife JoAnn, Eloy Vasquez and wife Gracie, and Anselmo Vasquez and wife Amy. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Anselmo Vasquez, Sr. and Ruth Briones Vasquez, his son Nick Vasquez, and several brothers and sisters.

Anselmo will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all whose lives he touched.
